ENTRANCE - Enhancing the Entrepreneurial mindset of non-business Academics
Learning objectives:
The learning objectives of this project were:
to equip non-business academics and their students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become self-employed, start new businesses, or expand existing ventures.
to enable non-business academics and their students to generate and refine business ideas.
Heading 6
Enhancing entrepreneurial education in higher education institutions (HEIs) can significantly reduce the fear of failure by fostering innovation, self-confidence, and risk-taking skills. Although technical, scientific, and artistic studies often lead to innovative and viable start-ups, there is a notable lack of emphasis on cultivating entrepreneurial skills within these fields.
ENTRANCE aims to reinforce the entrepreneurial competencies of non-business academics and their students. The goal is to support these individuals in becoming self-employed, starting new businesses (start-ups), or developing and growing existing ventures (e.g., spin-offs), while also advancing their university careers. Through this initiative, academics across all fields can gain a better understanding of entrepreneurship and effectively start their own businesses or transfer these concepts to others, as entrepreneurship is relevant to every field of study.
During the project, the following outputs have been developed:
-
An Entrepreneurial Training Program and Case Videos for non-business academics and their students.
-
A Business Plan Toolkit to assist non-business academics and their students in generating and refining their business ideas.
-
A Consolidated Pilot Report from the piloting phase of the MOOC in partner countries.
-
A Pedagogical Guide, which provides guidelines and practices for non-business academics, serving as a reference for guiding distance learning through the developed MOOC.
